Checklist Shopify & SEO
The Shopify Product Page Checklist That Turns Ad Clicks Into Sales
You can have the best ad in the world, but if people land on a weak product page, they leave. Your Shopify product page is where the sale actually happens. Use this checklist to make sure every ad click has the best possible chance of turning into an order.
Above the fold
- A clear, benefit-led title. Not just the product name — add what it does: “Butterfly Neck Pillow for Side Sleepers”.
- Great images and a short video. Product on white, product in use, size in hand, and a 10–20 second demo. Reusing clips from your best ads works well here.
- Price, offer and stock in one glance. Show any discount clearly and keep the buy button visible without scrolling on mobile.
- Star rating near the title. Social proof belongs at the top, not hidden at the bottom of the page.
Copy that sells
- Three to five benefit bullets. Short, scannable, focused on outcomes. See the art of selling with words for more on writing them.
- Answer objections. Size, materials, how to use it, who it’s for — the questions that otherwise end up in your inbox or cause returns.
- Match the ad’s message. If your ad promises “no more pet hair on the sofa”, the page should say the same thing in the first lines. A mismatch confuses visitors.
Trust and reassurance
- Shipping and returns, clearly stated. Delivery time, costs and the return policy right below the buy button.
- Real reviews with photos. Customer photos and videos are some of the strongest proof you can show.
- Payment and security badges. Familiar payment logos reduce hesitation at the last step.
Technical basics
- Fast on mobile. Compress images, remove apps you don’t use and keep the theme lean. Most ad traffic is mobile, and slow pages lose buyers. More on that in boosting your Shopify store’s visibility.
- Search-friendly basics. A unique meta title and description, descriptive image alt text and a clean URL help the page get found beyond your ads.
Quick self-test
Open your product page on your phone, give yourself five seconds, then close it. Could you say what the product is, why it’s good, what it costs and why you should trust it? If not, start at the top of this list.
